Meet Wetherly
Wetherly Barker Hemeon joined TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in 2012. She teamed up with Karen Barker, her mother and now longtime business partner. Together, they are The Barker Team. They have over 36 years of combined experience in real estate. They serve the DC, MD and VA areas and are consistently named one of Washington’s Top Producing Real Estate Teams and Individuals. In 2018, TTR Sotheby’s named Wetherly Vice President due to her success and expertise in the real estate industry. She is passionate, professional and provides her clients with exceptional white glove service. Wetherly believes that building a foundation of trust with her clients is a keystone of a successful real estate transaction.
As a long-time Northern Virginia resident, Wetherly is well-acquainted with the real estate market throughout the D.C. metropolitan area, and her wealth of knowledge makes it possible for her to provide her clients with expertise on property valuation, marketing, and contract negotiation. Over the past 12 years, Wetherly has represented over 35 professional athletes and coaches. Whether these clients are looking for housing for the season, making a more permanent move to Washington D.C. area, buying an investment property or moving out of the area, Wetherly can assist them. Not only does she have years of working closely with the professional athletes and their families but also with their financial advisors, agents and assistants.
Wetherly serves on the Leadership Board of Elite Sport Network. She works very closely with this extensive group of agents who specialize in athlete relocation. Having an ESN agent in almost every major city across the United States and beyond, Wetherly can confidently assist her clients outside of the Washington D.C. area.
